Canon Tom's ordination to the Holy Priesthood. He had served almost 20 years as a Deacon in another denomination. Abp. Ed Skiba officiated.

Deacon Thomas Theobald at his ordination to the Deaconate. Dn. Thomas has been dealing with Spina Bifida for most of his life but has not let that diminish his zeal for preaching the Gospel one bit. He was professed as a Benedictine Brother by Bishop-Abbott Barry Becchio some time back and has recently been ordained to the Deaconate  after he satisfactorily completed the required courses of study.

Deacon Thomas has become the recognized "Vicar" of the nursing facility in which he resides. His nurses know that he needs to be dressed early and assisted to his motorized chair to begin his daily visits.  He  counsels, blesses and shares the Gospel with the other residents and is available for any emergent spiritual need at this facility.  Deacon Thomas is an inspiration to us all.

Canon Tom Abbott and family in East Texas. He is the Canon Missioner for the Missionary Diocese of Texas, a retired Naval Officer and long time colleague of the Presiding Bishop, Canon Tom and his family homestead a large piece of land they have dubbed "Deerfield Abbey" and are very active in many aspects of the local community. He is the Vicar of the Chapel of St. Columba there at the Abbey.
